After moderating a Discovery Session in Vancouver in April 2024, AC was invited to TEDNext in Atlanta to open the brand new Next Stage with an interactive session on AI.
We had the opportunity to finalize a session in tight collaboration with the TED Curation Team, bringing in a new angle.

By adding Kasley Killam, a "connection connoisseur”, we were able to open up the conversation with Apolinário Passos, AI Artist and ML Art Engineer for Hugging Face, to a more human level, questioning our connection to ourselves, each other, and tech in a world increasingly dominated by AI.

We questioned what is needed to form a connection, if we even want to feel ‘connected’ to AI, and how anthropomorphising AI impacts the way we feel about it. We discussed what role trust has in the relationship we have with AI, and how control plays into this connection. From how work will be impacted in the future, to where innovation comes from and how emotional intelligence is the currency of the future for corporations, we covered a broad range of topics on how best we can understand and prepare for our future relationship with AI.
