The third European News Media Forum (ENMF), organised by the European Commission, brought together speakers from press, TV, radio, magazines, online media, and more to discuss innovations in the news media sector and feed the reflection on the European media policy.

Fishbowl: REALITY CHECK – ADAPTING TO AUDIENCES’ HABITS AND EXPECTATIONS

Held as part of the European News Media Forum, the fishbowl focused on adapting to audiences’ habits and expectations. The format was opened by a discussion with Yasmina Al-Gannabi (Audience Development Manager, Deutsche Welle), Meenal Thakur (Coordinator of the solutions journalism programme Transitions) and Sofie Hvitved (Futurist, Senior Advisor & Head of Media Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies). The audience then worked individually and in groups on the subjects of Audience, Content and Dissemination discussing challenges and solutions for the sector.
